Our little deer, Vallery

Our little deer, Vallery, is TWO!  She is such a bright, vibrant, and beautiful little girl.  My heart melts with her.  She has developed such an outgoing personality.  She is FEARLESS.  When she is not giving warm hugs and kisses, you can find her doing EVERYTHING her brother does and giving us a little sass to go with it. 

She is a very independent little lady.  Her favorite thing to say is "my do it!". And she literally follows Bo around everywhere.  If he jumps on the couch, she jumps on the couch; if he starts singing a song, she starts singing a song.  She is definitely his little shadow, Bo hasn't found it annoying yet, but I'm sure that is coming (right, Nick?). 

Vallery is the best of both worlds when it comes to being a tomboy and girly girl.  She loves her jewelry and wearing any kind of high heels she can get her hands on.  She loves to look in the mirror after I put her in a dress or put something in her hair.  She will look at herself and say "pretty, pretty".  PREACH IT BABY GIRL!  Don't let anyone ever tell you different!  She also loves her fair share of bike riding, pony riding, and is our little chore girl.  She could hold a bucket of corn in her hands at all times.  She is a fan of cowboy boots and pink fingernails.  

She loves Minnie Mouse and Daisy.  We watch the same Micky Mouse Clubhouse shows over and over again, especially Doctor Daisy...does your head hurt? Nooo. Do your shoulders hurt? Nooo.  Do your knees hurt? Nooo.  Then what's the matter? Anything with Minnie on it will make her happy!

Vallery loves to say "no". a lot. Going to time out does not scare her one bit.  She is way more stubborn than her brother when it comes to saying sorry.  She can wear you out.  V will hold out as long as she can on saying sorry. 

For her big day I took cupcakes to "school" for all of her friends and even had big brother enjoy one too.  She didn't want to stay at school, so she came to work with mommy for a bit.  We love you, Vallery Ann!!

NY NY

I had another small trip to New York in April to visit my dear friend, Paula.  It was her 30th birthday weekend.  I love, love, love this lady so much.  Anytime spent with her is always such a pleasure.  I had the best time (per usual).  I cannot wait to see her pretty face again! 

Spring PAST Spring?

Wow, I have been such a terrible blogger lately.  Our lives have been crazy busy, between trying to decide on house plans, busy work schedules, and wee ball, we have had some fun times this spring.

Bo and Vallery are becoming quite the little farm helpers and I couldn't be happier.  It is such a joy to go down to Villisca and see how excited they get to do chores, see the cattle and horses, and ride in the gator.  Probably one of my proudest mommy moments was when Bo called the cattle in all by himself from the pasture so he could feed them. They are our little farm kids!

 

 

We had a first this year as with Bo starting his Wee Ball career (tball for 3-4 year olds).  To me this is crazy that he is playing ball this early!!  I would say the season was a small success.  It tested my patience as well as Josh's.  By the end of the season he actually enjoyed going to games. :)



 

Another first was we took the kids roller skating.  I can't even tell you how cute this was (until you watch the video).  Jenna had Jaxon's birthday at the skate arena and it was a blast!  Enjoy the pics...

 

We have a couple trips to the zoo already this year and ended up getting a season pass so I am sure there will be many more!

We had our annual family trip to the PBR in Des Moines.  So. Much. Fun. Hands down my favorite thing of the year.  Both kids did really good and we were even home by 1030, win..win.

Last but not least, I had a girls night at the Kenny Chesney/Jake Owen concert.  We were in the 100 level section, but got upgraded to the pit!  So this meant I wasn't leaving my spot the entire night.  I am such a concert junkie and was so excited!!  A night to remember...
