Country Livin...

The kids and I headed back to Villisca for a weekend when Josh worked the ENTIRE weekend.  He had worked his regular shift then worked the night shift at the fair...what a trooper. 

I do have to say that the kids and I had a blast in Villisca visiting Ma'ma and Papa.  They went to bed late, slept in late, and had way too much sugar.  We had a blast playing outside, picking tomatoes, feeding the cattle, riding Buttercup and Bob, and playing jacks with Ma'ma.  Here a few pictures highlighting the weekend.

ISF

The Iowa State Fair is by far one of my favorite times of the year.  I got to go the fair 3 times again this year and its always a good time. I went once with a friend for a short time in the afternoon and ran into (what I call) a celebrity. 

The second trip was our annual trip with the family to watch the draft horse pull.  Both kids did pretty good. I think next year will be much easier because V will be 2 and Bo will be much more independent.  They had brought up the gator to do a little work at our land the next day.  It didn't get too hot and we got a lot done.  It is starting to look more presentable:).

I topped off the ISF trips with a visit to see Jake Owen.  This was my second time seeing him and he did not disappoint.  Jenna and I had a great time together and I can't wait for next year!  Oh, and I also went blonde.  YOLO!

 

 

Bo and Vallery got a special visitor the next day, cousin Owen!  Bo was excited to see Owen and they got some play time in.
