Sunday Funday

One of my most favorite things about being a Mom is knowing that I will have Baby Bo to wake up to.  He always puts a smile on my face, even if it is 630 am on a Saturday or Sunday morning and I am dead tired:).  He has brought more love and joy into my life than I thought was imaginable.  I am so proud of him and lucky to have him as my son.  Yesterday was just one of the many mornings that Bo wakes up in such a fun, playful mood.  Every once in a while I get to capture these moments and cannot wait for him to read and watch everything that we have said about him.

As you can see he is a very happy and vocal baby:).  He loves playtime with Mommy and Daddy.  Love my family.

Chatter Box

Bo has changed and grown so much!  I still can't believe that our little boy is going to be 3 months old soon!  Since Josh has been home with him he has become quite the little chatter box!  He moves his mouth so well and acts like he is having a conversation with us.  Josh interacts with him a lot during the day so it has really helped his development.  He squeaks, squeals, coos, and mumbles:).  It is the cutest thing I have ever seen.  I am such a proud mommy watching him grow and he is already so smart (I'm sure every mother thinks that about their children:)).

He has also become a lot more aware of his hands and does so much more with them.  He takes his pacifier out quite often and has put it back in a few times too, which this was probably just a fluke but I like to think he knows how to do it himself.  He grabs his clothes, our clothes, and the bottle while feeding him.  He has also found my hair...ouch!!  One of the negative parts to this is that he has gotten a couple scratches on his face the past couple of weeks:(.  I just love watching him wiggle and squirm all around.  He still loves being on his back and he does the most movement when he is in his crib looking at the mobile, the changing table, or laying on the ottoman while we are playing with him.

These past couple weeks he has had his first experience in his bumbo seat, and he loved it!  He also loves looking at colors; bright, bright colors.  He has a couple stuffed toys that are very bright colored that he loves playing with and they also rattle.  We will put the TV on the baby channel that has shows will lots of bright colors and he just stares and stares at the colors in his swing, which that swing is a saving grace!! We also have started reading books to him, some of his favorites include Goodnight Moon and On The Night You Were Born (I get a little teary eyed every time I read this one!). His favorite books with Daddy are any of the Dr. Seuss books!

Bath time has become one of his favorite times for both Bo and us.  He splashes and plays in the water.  It is so entertaining to watch.  Josh gives him a bath 80% of the time now, which I'm sure it is good bonding time between the two of them:).

He has a farm activity center, which he just loves!  He always looks at the cow that is right in the center because it has a mirror on it where he can see his reflection.  Each animal does something different and it is so fun to watch him turn his head when the sheep squeaks, the chicken rattles, etc.  Also, tummy time has been a daily routine for Bo and Daddy during the day.  He still isn't the biggest fan of this, but he is getting so much stronger and lift his chest of the ground so well!  While he is doing tummy time Josh and I try to get him to turn his head from one side to the other by Josh talking to him on one side and then once he turns to Josh I will start talking to him until he looks at me on the other side.  It is definitely a fun family activity (for Josh and I anyway, even though it is hard for me to watch him struggle).  He is such a good boy though!

One other thing I have noticed is that in most of his clothes the arms are usually too short.  I think he is going to have the same problem as his Dad.  He also has a very long torso, big feet and handas, and chubby legs:).  I think he gets the chubby legs from me.  I was pretty round as a baby too!

He still has a full head of hair.  It has gotten even thicker and longer, still waiting for it to fall out but I have a feeling it is here to stay!

One thing I do have to say is that we have one happy baby...
