Christmas Eve

This year was the first year that we were not at my parents for Christmas Eve and Christmas.  Everyone came up to our house this year, so Santa could come to Bo's home.  Christmas Eve was a fun night of relaxing, present wrapping and eating.  I made pork ribs, twice baked potatoes and corn.  B & V enjoyed having Ma'ma and Papa and Uncle Nick for a visit!

Gray/Rhamy Xmas

The weekend prior to Christmas we headed down to SWI for a night on Saturday.  Saturday night we did some wrapping and hung out at my parents house.  I had a little bit of wine (maybe a bottle) and watched Christmas Vacation.  It was a pretty fun night!  The next morning we woke up and took pictures of the kids in front of my parents tree.  Bo is at the stage where he does not like to take pictures.  I hope this wears off soon, since I'm like the paparazzi!

Sunday morning after pictures we got the kids ready to head up to my Grandma's for lunch and Christmas.  But before we went there we made a pit stop to Uncle Nick's house to see Buttercup, Bob and Papa's beagle puppies!

We had lunch at my Grandma Gray's house and B & V hung out with all the cousins and did a gift exchange.  We draw names for all the cousins kids.  The year both of Jessie's kids (Ian and Lydia) got Bo and Vallery's names.  Vallery got a wooden train set with farm animals and Bo got some cattle and a tractor and trailer.

look what i can do!

my favorite little boy...
We left my grandma's a little early and headed over to Justin and Sydney's so we could exchange gifts and the kiddos could spend some time.  Owen loves this baby cousin and of course the boys had a great time!  Love you guys!

V's 5 months!

5 months was a very big milestone for our baby girl.  She rolled over for the first time on December 7th and can  sit up for a bit on her own.  I think this was a little earlier than Bo did.  She is talking so much more.  She says "da, da, da, da, da" over and over again.  It's gauranteed that Dada is going to be her first words.  Big brother Bo is still taking interest in her, which good :).  We still have not started rice cereal (so bad!!).  I just keep thinking she is too little.  She is my baby and I want to keep it that way.

She is eating 4 times a day 6-8oz at a time.  Her eating times are 7ish, 11ish, 3ish, 7ish.  Bedtime is still around 8 or 9 and wakes up at about 630 or 7 am.  She is still sleeping in our room.  Once again, mostly for me.  I am by myself most nights and love listening to her breathe.  We stopped swaddling her awhile ago. (when she got her fever...)  She grabs everything.  Vallery loves sucking on anything and everything.  Still no teeth, which is fine by us!  Such a happy little girl and definitely a mommy's girl.  Sometimes if she is being held and she sees me she will instantly start crying because she wants me.  I hate to say it, but I love it!  She likes to sleep on me as well.  Weekends we sometimes take cat naps together.

Santa 2013

Each year we have taken Bo to see Santa at Bass Pro Shops.  This year we went on December 16th.  I was even more excited to take him this year, but still a little nervous.  He knew who Santa was, but this year he is old enough to not go to someone he doesn't know.  So I wasn't sure how it would turn out.  Josh took Bo up while I took Vallery.  I put Vallery in Santa's arm and look over and Bo has a death grip on Josh's shoulder.  That's when I pryed Bo from Josh's arms and put him on his lap.  Bo didn't have much of an expression, he didn't cry so that is a win in my book.  We were also happy that Gramma was able to be there for it too!

Keagan's 1

Kendra's son Keagan turned one and had a Dr. Seuss themed birthday.  Bo was so excited for things Dr. Seuss and especially Cat in the Hat.  He had fun playing with Keagan (and his toys) and opening his presents for him.  I can't wait for the next time they get to play!  He immediately went for the Cat in the Hat hat, so I was almost positive I was going to have to buy that from Kendra when we left :).

Josh and Vallery also had a shopping trip of their own while we were at the party, so it was only fair we got a picture of them as well.  Looks like it turned out like a good afternoon for them as well!

KIP

My friend Kendra celebrated a birthday on December 4th, so we thought what a better way to celebrate then to go see Kip Moore.  He was at Val Air Ballroom.  As always, we had a great time, mostly because we were together.  Until next time us brunettes hit the town...

he opened for Kip!

Snow Day

We finally got some good snow that stuck and Bo could not wait to get out and play in it.  Josh went out and scooped the driveway, so we got Bo in his snow pants, boots, hat, mittens and coat.  He was bundled and ready to go.  The only problem was he didn't like to leave his mittens on and loved eating the snow!
