Total weight gain/loss: 27 lbs gained

Sleep: Sleep was going ok, minus the frequent bathroom breaks, however, I have gotten a cold that makes breathing pretty much impossible.

Best moment this week: Going to the Dr. and him telling me I am finally dialated to a 1!  It's better than nothing at this point.
Miss Anything?  Being able to really play around with Bo and having him relax on my chest.  It's hard because I want to lay on the floor with him and have him use me as a jungle gym, but that will have to wait a little bit.  We will leave the rough housing up to dad for now.

Looking forward to: Her arrival!  I just want to meet her already!!

Here is a look at 37 weeks with Bo and 37 weeks with baby g rhamy.  Slightly different :)

a peek at our little girl

At 36 weeks and 6 days, Kari at Prenatal Visions was so nice to invite us back to look at our little girl one last time before her arrival.  Unfortunately she wasn't as cooperative as the first time, but we were able to get a couple pictures of her.  She likes to have her hand by her face and there wasn't really any moving her.  Bo went with us again, he kept looking at the screen saying "baby".  He even gave her a kiss or two.  Kari was able to tell us that she is healthy and already has almost an inch of hair!  Kari also said that she was approx 6lbs 4 oz already and that was a conservative measurement.  Here are some pictures that Kari was able to get.

36 weeks, 6 days

We also went to see Kari at 30 weeks and 2 days and she got so many great pictures of baby g rhamy.  Thanks again so much to Kari at Prenatal Visions.  You really are great at what you do!

Nursery Tour

This project has been in the works for many, many weeks!  I have taken on a lot of projects myself which has been good and bad.  The good is that she will have many handmade things that were made with love and have much more meaning than buying them in a store.  But the bad is that it created some extra stress on this mama!  It was well worth it though.  The nursery turned out perfectly and I wouldn't change a thing.  A big thank you to my hubby who painted and hung everything just as I had envisioned it.  And also a big thank you for him putting up with  my occassional nag sessions to get things done or "how much I still needed to do".  You are a trooper and thanks for your patience with your pregnant wifey.

I started out by choosing the colors.  I changed this midway through planning, but thankfully hadn't purchased anything yet, so we were still safe!  I had many inspirations, mostly from Etsy, but also from other blogs that I follow.  Some of these bloggers just suck you right in and before you know it you have changed your entire house! :)  The first purchased was made on March 22nd, so we were locked in after that point.

I went with the colors Mint and Coral Pink.  I love, love, love these colors, however, they are kind of hard to find.  Bo's nursery was a light green color and had a decal on the wall, so we knew we needed to repaint.  The color of paint is called "Sandy Beige".  It was perfect!  I knew I wanted the walls to be a neutral color, because we are hoping to sell our house in a couple years.

One of my favorite parts of the nursery is the Owl signs.  These were handmade by me, but the idea was stolen off of etsy.  I wrapped two canvases in fabric and then drew an owl on a piece of paper before cutting the outline out onto a piece of cardboard.  Then I cut out all the parts of the owl with different shades of pink fabric and wrapped pieces around the cardboard and made it stick with hot glue and/or spray adhesive.  The "Owl Always Love You" sign I painted all letters on except for the vowels.  The vowels I cut out of the fabric that was used on the owl so they would blend with eachother.  These types of things always look easier to do then they really are, but I loved the way they turned out!

This block has a different saying on each side purchased from Etsy. 'Before you were conceived, I wanted you, Before you were born I loved you, Before you were here an hour, I would die for you, and This is the Miracle of love.'  Josh picked the side that would face forward. :)

This was also purchased from the same seller on Etsy.  It was just too adorable to pass up!

You can't really see it from the picture, but the changing pad cover is mint and white.

There is a letter hanging from the fabric that has the first letter of her name, however, we are keeping that a secret for now.  But I made this as well.  I bought a wooden letter from hobby lobby and spray painted both sides and then took some of the left over fabric from the owl signs, folded and hot glued it.  I then stapled the fabric to the letter.  The hook is from Hobby Lobby.

This will eventually get hung from the ceiling with a piece of fabric, but that is the last thing we have left to do!  It was something different from the traditional mobile.

This was another homemade project.  It hangs above the closet.  I got the idea from Pottery Barn Kids, but the cost to make it was probably a third of the cost to buy it.  Plus, I was able to add in my own definitions to make it more personal.  We purchased a piece of wood and cut it to the dimensions 12x36.  I spray painted the base of it white and bought sticker letters in the craft department from Hobby Lobby (more than anticipated because I used a lot of same letters).  After cutting out each letter to measure the layout, I placed each sticker and spray painted over the letters.  Once dried, I peeled off each sticker.  I love the way it turned out, and Bo got one for his room as well.

Almost everything else is either from TJ Maxx, Target, Hobby Lobby, and bedding/blankets, curtains and changing pad covers are from Etsy.  It is nearly impossible to find these colors at normal retail stores, so Etsy has saved me.  I have also gotten to be quite the addict to Etsy when it comes to normal household items.  Love that website!!

I will give a tour of Bo's Big Boy Room next!

Showering Baby Girl

The ladies at BI were so gracious enough to throw a shower for baby and me on Monday, June 17th.  It was such a nice shower and I literally just had to show up!  It was the first time that I hadn't been involved in any planning for a shower, it was so nice:).  They had a spread of appetizers, cookies and drinks.  They got her lots of cute clothes, booties, bath towels, toys, diapers and I also got a Moby Wrap that I am so anxious to try out!

Thanks again, ladies!  The evening was very much appreciated and we are very grateful to have you!

The man of the evening, Keagan!

Daddy's Day

Father's day seemed to have been cut a little short this year because Josh worked both days.  We did, however, manage to get some much needed things done around the house.

I gave my dad his father's day gift a week early while we were in Villisca.  We had gotten him a framed sign that said "The best part about having you for my DAD is knowing my children will have you for their PAPA."  I had Bo give it to him, it was so cute!  I am very grateful for my dad and the things that he has taught me and also his love for Bo.  It is so funny to see how much he has come "the city" to visit since we have had Bo.  We are very thankful!

And it was Josh's second Father's Day.  Like I said, unfortunately, he had to go into work that afternoon.  But he and Bo did get some "guy time" mowing the yard (that is, until Bo decided it was nap time).  Bo and Baby G Rhamy got him a sign that read "DADDY A son's first hero, A daughter's first love."  And he also got some new cologne, wallet, and cooler to take with him while he golfs!  Thank you to my husband for being such a great father to our son and soon to be daughter.  We love you more than all the stars in the sky!

LOVE MY BOYS!

36 weeks

How far along? 36 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 26 lbs gained
Maternity clothes? Yepper!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleep is going good, however, for some reason I feel the need to stay up past 11pm every night!

Best moment this week: Seeing our baby girl at Prenatal Visions.  Even though she wasn't very cooperative! :)
Miss Anything?  I miss being comfortable sitting and relaxing.  It's still difficult to breathe.  I feel so much bigger with her than with Bo, even though I weigh less. If we decide to have another one I am definitely giving my body some more recovery time!
Movement: Still moving all over the place.  I love watching my belly take on all kinds of different shapes.  I could, however, do without the sudden kicks or punches to the bladder:).
Food cravings: Fritos started to sound good this week, but I haven't gotten any yet.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I'm finding that I am slightly queasy a lot of the time.  I think it is just being pregnant and uncomfortable.
Have you started to show yet: Yes, yes!

Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? On and off.  I can put it on, but with the weather it seems my hands swell with the heat.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy :)
Looking forward to: Doing all the finishing touches on the nursery and little man's room.  Almost everything is complete!  We got everything hung this weekend, but we need to do some tweaking to the curtain rod and I need to add one final touch to one of my projects and it will be complete.  I am going to get my hospital back packed this week as well.  Josh says that I have been in nesting mode because I have been on a cleaning spree lately, but it is partly because I have discovered Norwex and love to clean now:).  (ask me again after the babes is here.)

We have been trying to talk to Bo about having a little sister, but he is still so young he hasn't quite grasped the concept yet.  I know that he is going to be such a good big brother to his sister.  I will ask him if he is going to take good care of his sissy when she gets here and he will shake his head yes and respond with "yeah".  It just melts my heart.  I love that little guy so much and can't even imagine how I am going to feel with two of them!!

1 Final Weekend Away

Last weekend was the last and final weekend that I am going to be traveling anywhere.  Josh and Nick left Friday morning to go to 3 day golf tournament in Riverside, IA.  Nick had been staying with us all week because he had some training in Ames, so Bo got a lot of Uncle Nick time.  I had a wedding to go in Stanton, so Bo and I left on Friday to go to my parents' house for the weekend.

It was actually a very nice weekend back home.  Bo and I slept in the guest bed together and we were both in bed at 9pm.  We are pretty exciting. :)  Bo doesn't ever sleep with us (maybe a handful of times) so I really enjoyed having him lay next to me and put his finger up my nose, grab my hand, and pull my hair randomly throughout the night.

Saturday was a very exciting day because after visiting Great Gma Gray Bo took his first ride in the big tractor while Papa was planting.  He was all business driving the tractor.  He loved it!!  After the tractor ride I dropped him and my mom off to eat lunch while I detailed my car.  This was a much needed task!  After getting back and putting Bo down for a nap, I finished another project for Baby G Rhamy's room.  Only 2 small things left to do and I'm done!!

After Bo's nap we both got ready for Cyndi's wedding in Stanton.  It was a beautiful ceremony!  Cyndi looked absolutely amazing.  I wasn't able to get any pictures with the bride because Bo and I didn't go to the reception.  Thanks to Ryan and Stacy for letting me tag along with you to the wedding!  It was out of town and we all know that my bedtime is extremely early nowadays.

Sunday was a lazy day for everyone because it had rained all day, but I know that Bo really enjoyed his time with Gramma and Papa.  He took rides on Papa's scooter and Gramma took him to see baby colt (he instantly wanted to get on him).  He rode with Papa in his truck around their house and also played on their back deck and looked at the fish in the small pond.  We did, however, miss Josh, but we knew he was doing something he loved to do!

That was last trip we are taking before the baby gets here.  I am over 35 weeks pregnant now and was very nervous the whole time that I could go any minute.  So I was relieved to get home and know that everything was ok.  Baby should be here in about 2-3 weeks!  Holy smokes!

fish!

Bo thought their cellar door was a slide :)
