V's 8 months!

Our 8 month old little girl has her 2nd bottom tooth and has started pulling herself up on everything!  I wouldn't say that she is technically "crawling", but she can make her way around the room by scooting, rolling, and she has one heck of a reach!  She is still babbling so much, says "Dada" a lot.  Josh also gets her laughing all the time!  She loves Boston and wants to pull on his hair constantly.  She loves to stand!  Josh and I will still help her with her balance, but other than that is all her.  She is a strong little girl.

She loves "flying" around and chasing her brother.  Anytime you try to hold her she instantly falls forward so she can "fly".  She is slowly developing her own little personality and I absolutely love it!  She still loves clapping and is started to wave.  She is seriously so grabby.  Anything and everything she wants.  She is at the stage now where she wants to grab my ears to go after my earrings.

Habits are still the same ole, same ole.... eating 4 times a day.  She has cereal/baby food once a day at 730 pm.  Still drinking like a champ and sleeping like a champ.  She is wearing some 9 month but mostly 12 month clothes.  She can still fit into her size 3 moccs that I adore!!  She is becoming more and more of a daddy's girl everyday, but still loves taking naps on Mommy.  Love our baby girl to pieces!!

Dr. Seuss' Birthday!

On a side note, we finally got a play date in with Jack and Bennett.  Jack and Bo were running around like crazy as usual and Vallery could not get enough of Bennett!!  Successful playdate!

I also added a little sparkle to Vallery's room that is going to dub as a birthday decoration...love!

One of my sweet boy, because who can resist??

A weekend at Ma'ma and Papa's

It had been the end of December since we have made the trip back to SWI.  The kids were definitely getting the itch (especially Bo).  It has been a long winter and with Bo being such an outside kind of boy, its so good for him to go down there and just run!  The weekend was very relaxing as usual and we also got to see some other special friends.  While the guys were coyote hunting, Avery came to visit and play with Bo for a bit until they came back.  Watching Bo and Avery was the cutest thing.  He would do everything Avery would do.  Vallery would just stare and stare at the two of them running and running and running.

Later on that evening my dad was getting ready to do chores and I jumped on this opportunity and also wanted to take the boys with me.  They had a blast feeding the cattle, riding in the gator, petting the horses and playing in the bunks.  I mean what is not to love about all of that?!

Sunday was also filled with lots of fun, feeding the cattle (again), harnessing up Buttercup for a cart ride and some playtime with cousins.  It was such a good weekend spent with family.

Bath time.

I know that every child loves bath time, but I think it is safe to say that it is one of my favorites as well.  Bo could be in there for hours...literally.  It is usually at least a half hour long before he decides that he might be done and that is after we have drained all the water and he is too cold to bare it any longer.

I'm so excited that Vallery is started to come into her own.  She plays and splashes in the bath just like her brother (except not as wild yet!).  We have started using conditioner in her hair to try and "tame the mane".  It seems to be working better on getting tangles out in between bath nights.

Our goal by the end of the bath is that we try to keep ourselves as dry as possible, even though we usually end up about as soaked as they are.  Just another small, simple, wonderful part about being a parent.  It doesn't get much better! :)

a post about love.

Since I missed the boat on Valentine's Day I have decided to throw a couple of posts together - Vday and brother/sissy love...it can't get more lovey dovey than that!

Valentine's Day was Vallery's 7 month birthday and it was also the first time that I actually dressed her girlie...I know big deal, right?  My mom keeps telling me that I need to put her in dresses, but first off it has been butt cold and who wants to wear dresses when it is so cold?  It was fun to tell Bo that he was going to have a party at school.  He loves parties and if you tell him he is going to one he gets super excited!  Bo gave his classmates pencils and a sucker that said "Pencil Me in 4 Playtime?" and Vallery got her classmates mango squeezes that said "Here's a Treat for someone Sweet!".  The kids got new jammies for Vday (from Costco...I LOVE their no footie pajamas).  Bo's had Dinosaurs on them and Vallery's had flowers. They also got a special delivery from Ma'ma and Papa.  I love both of my Valentine's so much!!

Bo has been so interested in Vallery lately.  He has started to "play" with her and give her toys.  He will also try and put clips in her hair.  It is the cutest thing! They both truly have my heart.
